Lois, you notice that John never addresses the nature of anything I post. He has gone all the way through Albequerque to avoid acknowledging the scripture from Jeremiah that I allded to.

Jesus in the Community of Christ is sort of in the same position that Colonel Sanders was after he sold KFC to a large corporation. He was kept on as a consultant for publicity purposes, on a salary. The day the sale was concluded, the good Colonel wanted to go somewhere, and he learned that he had not a single automobile to his name. They all belonged to the company he had just sold.

Likewise, I once attended a Protestant Church, in which the janitor had once been pastor of that very same church, years ago.

I do not think that Jesus has done anything himself to bring this about, but his position in the Community of Christ is about the same. Everyone gets to live their favorite lifestyle of unrepentant sin (except for the occasional "sorrowing of the damned,") and Jesus gets called out to come and clean up the mess -- again... and again ... and again....

George
