Lois, I don't think that Jesus ever said anything about cannibalism. He even said, "This is my blood you drink, this is my body you eat."

Given the argument for promoting homosexuality, the same argument would work even better for cannibalism.

But I forget. There are no hierarchs or relatives of heararchs in the CofC who were "born" cannibals, so I guess that it is less about scripture and logic and more about what is convenient for the one doing the promotion.

You note that the claim that humans throughout history have been cannibals, and that it is normal is absolutely false. However, if it is taught in schools long enough, and all rebuttal is silenced or ridiculed, then people will start to believe that cannibalism is normal.

This false claim works. A real feminist (not one of the psychotic man-hating lesbians) examined the feminist claim that one out of every 5 women has been sexually assaulted and found out that this was not true. It had become a convenient factoid for the cause. It worked, too. Look how quickly the Duke athletes were arrested, merely on one woman's say-so. After all, they were men, and she was a woman, so the prosecutor figured that he had at least a 20% chance of being right, even without any evidence. I have a man who works for me who used to drive a fuel delivery truck. His stepdaughter, (whose mental state was similar to that of the woman in the Duke case) accused him of all sorts of disgusting things. The New York police called down here and had him arrested immediately by Texas authorities. Three days later when his company finally got his logbooks available to show that he was not even in the same state as his daughter during the alleged crime, he was released, with an apology. That is the power of the lies told by radical counter-reformers. Getting the general public and politicians to believe these lies has abrogated the constitutional rights of anyone so accused as if they were in a 17th century witch trial.

There are similar false factoids about 10% of the population being exclusively homosexually active (i.e., not being able to be heterosexual; however, consider that only 12% of the U.S. population is African American -- (thanks to the institutionalized racism of Planned Parenthood that percentage has remained static, even despite current immigration from Africa and Haiti) - and there are considerably more Africans than there are homosexuals. And there are similar factoids about "gaybashing" as well.

The radicals have honed this to a fine art form. I still have my RLDS/CofC Three-In-One with the "Joseph Smith Blessing" in the back. That is the revelatory document in which Joseph Smith, Jr. (who allegedly did NOT found the RLDS/CofC) named his son Joseph Smith, III, the true leader of the Restored Church. Although the document was a forgery (which raises other questions of hierarchic sanity,) the CofC/RLDS leadership ate it up, bought the document, and printed it in the CofC/RLDS scriptures. But now the CofC leadership got into the WCC by telling the WCC that Joseph Smith, Jr. was not the founder or first president of the RLDS Church. Nothing but Orwellian lies of epic proportions.

Incidentally, I thought of the way the CofC works today. My mother told me that a fellow member of her townhouse project asked the board of directors to repair the roof of her carport, since all repairs to the exterior are paid for out of the owners association funds. The representative told her that she was responsible for fixing her carport because she owned it. Then the same representative discussed the problem of junk collected in another carport by another resident. The rep said, "The lawyer says that the association owns the carports, so we have the right simply to go in and remove the junk without consulting the owner of the unit."

The rep was called on this, and almost broke down into a sputtering fit reminiscent of the quiet fury of the CofC leadership whenever the light is shined into their darkness.
