Don't worry about what John thinks, Lois. It is indeed all in the way you look at it.John is able to see "the truth" in all those wagonloads of stuff coming out of the CofC barn because he is looking through a kaleidoscope. The only "truth" to be found there would be by using DNA testing to find out which cow each load came from. Then the bare facts would come into focus.

The Temple in Independence should have been designed to look like a snowflake. After all, the CofC is never the same church two days in a row. Like snowflakes, each official story is always completely different.

We should call the bookmakers and ask what the odds are on bets as to how long it will be before the CofC declares that W. Grant McMurray founded the church. At that time, we'll hear that the CofC is a 21st century church, not one hopelessly mired in the 19th century, because it derived its name during his administration, and entered its primary mission field: Rehabilitating antisocial and unacceptable behavior by artistic use of Newspeak.

After all, getting rid of the association with the 1830 church helps jettison the BoM (at least in fantasy,) and the new 21st century origin story will allow the jettisoning of the Bible and any "revelations" prior to W. Grant's administration.
