In a daze, Adam looked slowly up from his bed on the cold, hard stone at who he supposed was just a mirage. The figure did not waver, though, and was speaking. Then she threw herself into his arms, and it all became clear. "Storm...Oh god...Storm..." he whispered, trying to choke back tears of relief. "You're Storm..."
The visions of the past few days raced through Adam's mind as he held his love, tenderly stroker back her shimmering hair. Although she was sooty and almost...haggard from the run, Adam could only see how her hair shimmered and how her beautifully colored eyes shimmered so.
He broke off his rapture, coughed violently. He still held Storm, tried to hold her even closer. Adam shivered harshly, though he tried to conceal the fact from Storm. "S-Storm...I love...love you..."
