Subject: Parents of Thomas Meredith, Sr. of SC

I am trying to locate the parents of Thomas Meredith, Sr. of Fairfield District, SC, who died in March 1812 in Alabama while moving his family west to Amite Co., MS. He was a Revolutionary War veteran who fought in SC. It is thought that he might have been born in Maryland and that his parents might have moved south to NC before his move to SC, but this is all unproved. He was a Sabbatarian Baptist and about 1780 married Abigail Neely (spelled in various ways, sometimes as Naly).
