Subject: Disappearing Family Members

I have been looking for my Great Grandfather and Great Grandmother. They are in the 1910 and 1920 Census' and then they just disappear. I know my GGrandmother passed away sometime between 1921-1930 in childbirth, but I cannot find records of her death, the baby's death, or what happened to my GGrandfather. I know he remarried. I can't find any birth records on either of them or marriage records either. Her name was Edith Elizabeth Milligan. She is not the Edith Elizabeth Milligan from Arkansas. My Edith Elizabeth was born in Tennessee just like the Arkansas Edith Elizabeth, but my Edith Elizabeth was born either around Dec. of 1891 or sometime in 1892. I saw a census record in 1900 of a Sallie Milligan with a daughter named Bessie Milligan. They were boarders in Knox Co, Tennessee. My GGrandmother went by the name Bessie and is listed as Bessie in the 1920's census. The 1910 census has Edith E. and her married name of Norris. Her mother was full-blooded Cherokee Indian (what I am told). I have a picture of my GGrandmother, and you can surely see the Indian in her. She is very beautiful. I do not know what her parents names were so I cannot find anything through them. My GGrandfather's name was Lon C. or Lon B. Norris. He was supposed to have been born in North Carolina. The 1910 census says Lon B. and the 1920 says Lon C. Norris. I am not sure if Lon is a nickname for somethng else like Lonnie or Leonard, but I am not finding a thing. He was born around 1887. They lived in Fulton Co, Atlanta, Georgia in 1910. They moved to Tennessee sometime between 1910-1920 to Knoxville. He had a grocery store in the poorer part of Knoxville. My aunt said she thought it was called Norris Grocery. I do not know his parent's names either. If anyone has a clue on how I might find a lead, I would appreciate any and all help offered.

Jenny
