Subject: MEXICO-TEXAS PACHECO'S

Good Day,

I am attempting to trace my paternal grandfather Fernando Pacheco back to Mexico. He and his wife Maria Demetria Garcia had eleven children in Texas, 9 in Fort Worth, where my father Isac Sr. was born in 1930.

Fernando was born in 1885 in Reventadero, near Panuco,Veracruz. He was born to Domingo Pacheco and Fransisca (maiden name?). Maria Demetria was born in 1895 in Cilos, near Cerritos,San Luis Potosi,Mexico. She was born to Donaciano Garcia and Balbina Plumarejo.

Fernando had one or two brothers come to the U.S. and "headed West". Where these two wound up I'm not sure. Family members believe it was in New Mexico somewhere. Their names were Damian and Isac.

I am told that Fernando and Demetria got married in either Texas or possibly Nuevo Laredo. Not sure which.

Currently, I'm having a very diffacult time tracing him back to Mexico. I suspect he and his family picked cotton way before sunrise and way after dark, thereby missing the census takers. I've not found him listed in any census' so far.

I would apreciate any help offered. I thank you in advance for your time.

Sincerely,

Isac James Pacheco Jr.
