Issac Nichols and Margaret Cox

I am hoping someone may be able to help me.
I am searchng for Issac Nichols, who possibly married Margaret [or a name similiar to that] Cox, could be spelled differently. Anyway, I am assuming that he was born around 1740-50. his son,Benjamin was born around 1773 and he married Phoebe norton, born in Duchess New york.information about her would also be greatly appreciated.
Benjamin was my 4x grandfather and I seem to have hit a brick wall, so to speak, in attempting to pursue my lineage further.
Please, somebody must know something!
