Subject: Lost Bowen Cousins, Duplin Co, NC

Looking for long lost Bowen Cousins in Duplin Co, NC. I have the parents names, birth, marriage date and death. There were four children born to Abraham b. 1894 and Hattie Bowen b. 1895. My deceased aunt gave me their names, as she knew them. I can't find any records in the census on either child. Children were: Abraham (Abe) Jr., Thomas, Edna and Martha (Teensey) Mathews or Bowen. I have searched Ancestry.com.. Census and zilch on them.
What could have happened to them?

Can someone help me? Alice
