I have Cheek families in Clay and Laurel Counties in Ky. They go back to James Chick (Cheek)born in King Queen, Virginia in 1760 and Martha Patty Estes b.-1762 in Orange. No.Car.Married 9/6/1783 They had eight children. All were born in NC and Va. He ended up in Knox Co.,Ky. Thank goodness, as I would not be here if his daughter, Sarah, hadn't married Joseh Yeager in 1806 in Va and Eliza hadn't married Joseph Cook in 1827 in Clay Co., Ky and etc. Let me know if this helps.
