Dear Mrs. Baker,
the days before my father, Hans Dieter Meyer, went to the emigrant museum in Bremerhaven and found out that an ancestor of ours emigrated to New York in the year 1925. His name was Ferdinand Meisterknecht, a barber from Angerburg. My great- grant aunt, Anna Meisterknecht stayed in Angerburg that time. Louise Amalie Meisterknecht, who likely was the sister of Ferdinand and Anna was married with Richard Karl August Meyer, the grandfather of my father.
There are several documents about the Meisterknecht family in the hands of ours. If you are interested in having a look on the picture of the wedded pair or maybe know if there really could be a parallel between this Meisterknechts, please answer!
Yours sincerely, Verena & Hans-Dieter Meyer
