hi bamb, long time to see. hope you're doing well. actually, not long time, coz i saw you online occasionally.

thx for your clarification. i did find it confusing.

as to the pros and cons of capital punishment, i find myself caught in between. i'm not a pro, but not a con either. i can only say that i'm not against it. even people are wrongly convicted, i don't think it makes much difference whether they are still "alive" when they've spent literally their whole life in prison. the difference may actually mean more to other people who feel release for having "spared" their lives. if life is all about trial of hardship, there you are then. if not, what's more cruel, death or life imprisonment? who knows? should we allow the convicted chance(s) to reconsider their act? all depends on whether you have faith in people's nature and conscience.

but i do feel unease to say that we can risk taking an innocent's life and sometimes prefer to put the person in a cage and altogether put the issue aside.

when i make people's nature and conscience a point, i'm drawing a difference between a person and an object. but i know the decision shouldn't be made by a ME. that's why i'm hesitating in front of the pro and con arguements.

'yee boh yik boh' never works and more often even distorts things, such as justice, but it's naked sadness that it's seemed as the last resort by some, such as "terrorists". but i want to distinguish those "terrorists" from more powerful TERROISTS who commit all kinds of terrorist act under a appearantly legitimate guise. they are passive and active terrorists.
