Subject: kudos to Ted Fiore and John Coffino

Ted's Montclair State team has clinched the top seed in the playoffs as the first-place team in the New Jersey Athletic Conference North Division.

Everyone knows how competitive the NJAC is, so it's a great accomplishment to finish first.

I saw their clinching game at Rutgers-Newark and they showed a lot of the attributes we remember from the SPC teams Ted coached--tough defense, composure in tight spots, balanced offense.

John's Albuquerque Thunderbirds are 15-12, which isn't bad. But it's really impressive when you consider that they began the year 2-10, so they are 13-2 in the last 15 games (more than a month's worth of games).
