Talked to Buck this afternoon and he was going to update me later. Fr Heavey always wore his love for the oldU on his sleeve for all to see and went the extra yard for the student body. He was very helpful in getting the Friends of St Peter's Basketball, which eventually became the Don Kennedy Club, off and running. Will keep him in my prayers.

John hit the nail on the head. Father Heavey no only went the extra yard for the student body, he did it for everybody and anybody. He never said no to anybody who needed help. He just celebrated his 79th birthday this past Wednesday. He always said he didnt think he would live past 75. Looks like he is still going those extra yards. Let's pray he rebounds and blessed us with his presence for a few more years.
