Author: Cindy Crawford
Subject: Not enough offense.

Playing without Jenkins for the second straight game, the cold shooting Peacocks were over matched by the Pirates.
Leon 3-12,Mumford 1-9,and Hall 1-5 from the field could not overcome the tenacious SH defense which was backed by their larger front line.
Three of the Peacock big men had solid games.Bacon had 10pts and ten boards as well as 4 blocks.
Gooding emerging from his offensive slump added 10 points in transition and slashing. The part he's best at.
Costner's continued emergence was demonstrated by his game high 12 rebounds-8 offensive, and his 8 points.
Jordan as I've said before adds more not evidenced in the stats. Multiple times his tips kept the ball out of the hands of SH rebounders as SPC won the battle of the boards against the larger Pirates 41-33!
I also like the way the ball moves on offense when he's in there with Hall. We just need our guards to hit that outside shot.
The crowd was good and very much into the game any time the Peacocks threatened. The action during timeouts, the added drum corps, and even the supplementary snack bar all were an upgrade lending to a more exciting atmosphere.
If the Peacocks play as they did today, and get some shots to fall, they might be able to win a few more in conference and crack double digits in wins.
