First and only game I get to see in person this year. The Big story of the day is no Leon, which of course affected the outcome. Hall had probably his most turnovers of the year. Jenkins shooting really off in the first half when Stoney Brook jumped out to a big lead. Stoney Brook's # 35 El Amin really dominated the game...could have had more but Hall was put on him in 2nd half and actually Hall did a pretty good job defending him on several play.
6 foot 4 guy sitting on our bench in street clothes I do not believe was mentioned before.

#35 was Muhammed El-Amin and was exactly the type of player that we need to recruit. Good size, excellent shot and moves would be the perfect compliment to Wesley. Beginning to think that we need that type of player (if Conley pans out) much more than upfront.

Had to leave with ten minutes left in the game but witnessed a very poor performance. Wesley continues his poor shooting, missing even a couple of wide open 3's. However, he drove to the basket well and made several pull up ten footers. The loss of Leon hurts in that even when Nick is not shooting it well he still puts some points on the board by driving, creating and getting fouled.

Can't figure out why Mumford gets so much playing time. His shooting doesn't deserve it and his handle and passing is more than questionable. Hall, Jenkins and Leon are more than enough. Also would like to see Hill play more in these types of games. Floor time for him is crucial for his own development. Gooding, the last few games has really had his game face on. Nice stat line and continues to put effort all game long.

Finally, our ball movement when we look bad is non-existent. Seems last year it was Leon, now it's Hall who dribbles, dribbles, dribbles waiting for a play to develop which often never does. It has been posted by many of us how much better we play uptempo and in the open court. Hall also needs to become an offensive threat. Made a 3 pointer but it was a desperation shot as time ran down. Had some open looks again which he passed up. So much for the criticisms. I wasn't at Monmouth but thought that this performance, even against a decent team, was pretty poor.
