Re: One quibble -- Cindy Crawfod, Tuesday, February 03, 09:07:29pm [1]
You are correct,Guns about free throws made not attempts. But had we made every one we still would have made 8 vs 22.Further ,we went about three quarters of the game without getting to the line.Virtually all of our attempts came after the game was decided, otherwise the disparity would have been more apparent.
In the past few years our game was more perimeter oriented, now however, Nick penetrates frequently,as does Wes who never seems to get the contact call.
And while the front line inside game is negligible when Bacon is out,his array of spins, turns and dips should seem to warrant more calls than he is getting.
Last night of the big three, only Leon had and made two fee throws.Akeem was 1-4 and Kabongo with seconds remaining was 0-2.

Re: One quibble -- Guns of Navarone, Wednesday, February 04, 01:04:05pm [1]
Ok, I guess we can disagree. I just didn't think, on this night, we earned any more trips to the line. Even when Jenkins drove, he was more likely to pull up than go for the layup and Siena's big men played Bacon real smartly.
What we can take away from this game is that the Peacocks have to become more aggressive attacking the hoops. The longer Bacon can stay out of foul trouble, the better.
