Subject: Rich (The COunt) Onderdonk

Onderdonk, Richard J. 74, on June 21, 2008 of Mahwah, formerly of Woodcliff Lake. Beloved husband of Joann (nee Zito) Onderdonk for 52 years. Loving father of Kim Fleck and her husband George of Naugatuck, CT., Kevin of Forest Hills, CA., John Michael of Waretown, NJ., and Keith and his wife Paula of Hillsdale, NJ. Adored grandfather of Michael, Patrick and Timothy Fleck, Kyle, Ryan, Johann and Tyler Onderdonk. Dear brother of Paul, Virginia, and brother-in-law of Joseph Zito. Also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Richard was a member of the Knights of Columbus of River Edge, a retired Controller of Garden State Container in Bayonne, and was an All County & All State basketball player for Holy Trinity High School in Hackensack, who also was the first team to win the Bergen County Jamboree in 1951. Richard was a graduate of St. Peters College in Jersey City. Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 2-4 & 7-9 PM at the Van Emburgh-Sneider-Pernice Funeral Home, 109 Darlington Ave, Ramsey. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday June 25, 2008 at 10 AM at St. Paul RC Church in Ramsey. Cremation will be private. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN. 38105.
