Subject: Want to know what Anderson is working for?

From Dick Weiss column.

"This just in: Kyree Sutton, a 6-9 graduate Boys and Girls HS we saw at Hoop Group’s Elite camp 10 days ago, has signed with SUNY-Binghamton. It’s amazing how many players from that PSAL program wind up playing Division I basketball. We think it might be time for some Division I school to take a long look at Kangaroos’ assistant coach Elmer Anderson for a staff position. The guy is totally wired in Brooklyn."

Is Weiss as dumb as he writes. Anderson is pretty well known as a nothing.

A nothing who wants to be a something. Perhaps is too full of his own ego and aspirations. Apparently capable of changing his advice at the drop of a hat.

Maybe so, but we couldn't outrecruit Binghamton for an absolutely critical player (in lieu of Conley). Binghamton U. has a nice new arena, but it is the absolute armpit of Central NY State. Five month long, cold, dreary winters, almost zero diversity, no where to go, long road trips, comparable (at best) conference.....

Our problems are bigger than the impliciation Anderson was bought and then proceeded to brainwash Sutton. Who says that is true? How do we know Sutton is so easily influenced?

The real problem?

Our roster has gaping holes two and a half recruiting seasons into JD's tenure. We had to recruit over two point guards recruited for last years class and in 2 years, could not find ANYONE to replace Todd rebounding or defending inside. We are almost certainly staring down the barrel of another play-in-round season.

In effect it does not shine bright on Sutton. Integrity is obvously not his strong suit. Becomes more interesting to compare Weiss report versus Scout. Scout info came from the kid, while Weiss got his from his butt boy Anderson.

As a side note, Binghamton has Mark Macon as an assistant. They have him getting his degree from Temple. If I am not mistaken Macon never got his degree and it made news as it pointed up the abysmal graduation rate of Temple. Can anyone confirm this.

I don't know the kid, so maybe I shouldn't say anything. He is just taht, a kid who gets influenced BUT, if character is called into question, it reminds me of how when it was floating around about KeeKee getting sweet nothings wispered in his ear after Freshman & Soph seasons (at least).. he stayed loyal to his committment.
