I do not know the softball situation and I'm not sure I want to know.

I'd like to stress two things to Messrs Cornacchia and Elliott. The first is that students (and student-athletes) are customers and need to be treated as such. Having good customer service is one of the best ways an organization without large resources can distinguish itself.

The second is that the word of poor service will travel quickly among the network of parents of athletes. Word of mouth is extremely important and word of mouth is hugely influential among parents in the high school athletics world.

You say that willing will solve the basketball problem. I do not disagree. However, an environment where winning is possible is first necessary. The first step would be to fund the program more in line with other MAAC schools. The second step is a much-needed upgrade in facilities. This is not an excuse for the current staff. Frankly, right now, if I were a parent with a MAAC-level player, I would not send him to Saint Peter's.

Things don't turn on a dime, and there are many other needs in the school from prior school mismanagement. This is the first year that any direction can be seen from EC. As I understand money has been allocated for dealing with the seating and (surprise surprise) repairing the parking garage. Let’s see if it happens or was just BS.
