- flash of silver appears among tall dunes. the sudden and brief appearance rouses the suspision that it had not even been there at all. but then it is seen again, longer. silvery femme gallops from around the dunes, dark mane and tail streaming as banners behind proud form. nearing the oasis, she slows and halts, quivering as she listens for other equines. lowering chisled dial, wild mare drinks deeply from the cool pond. -
