She placed a soothing hand on his shoulder, and then dug through a small pack on her rather plain saddle. She pulled out a crust of bread, along with a canteen of water.+ "I always pack food, in case I'm out long." +She kneeled, offering the bread and canteen to the girl.+ "Here, have these."
