I wouldn't really think so...Dave was the one who got the heaviest into the drug scene, over-dosing several times and admitting a heroin addiction. The other band members drug use has been a very hush-hush subject, pretty much only addressed in the Steve Malins biography of the band. In it, Alan admitted that all of them indulged in ecstacy and cocaine in the late 80's. But since Martin is the songwriter for the band, his usage would be the only notable one, and in the book it was made to sound as if the drugs were only a part of touring life, not their regular lives (except Dave). So, since Martin does his songwriting in DM's off-time, it seems reasonable to say that he wasn't using during the actual music creation process...Then again, who knows? Maybe he used recreationally to help him creatively...No one can say for sure.
