Um...I think the 2DVD, "The Videos 86>98+" would be the way to go - it does have some bonuses that the first DVD didn't (Strangelove 88, One Caress, But Not Tonight, Condemnation videos...EPKs for Violator, SOFAD, and Ultra). Those are some nice extras if you're a staunch DM fan.

Regarding 81>86, they did release a video (VHS) from that era. It's called "Some Great Videos" (might be titled something different in different parts of the world). Even that video has it's flaws - DM were so embarassed of a few of their early videos (Leave in Silence, Get the Balance Right, See You, etc) that they chose not to include them on the video.

I have more video details somewhere on my site...not really sure where, at the moment.
