'B-sides' are songs that are released on singles, but are not the featured song. For instance, the b-side to the forthcoming single release "I Feel Loved" is "Dirt". The idea is to make the single more in demand by placing an extra song on it, encouraging more people to buy the single. Also, it's a place to put recorded tracks that perhaps didn't fit the theme of the album or were left off the finished album for other reasons. Basically, just a commercial ploy to ring up more sales. But, it's a good thing! This way, we get more Mode songs!
