In reply to: Cobweb 's message, "The mare steps in indiscreetly, though her stride is slow. She walks with a swinging, almost sad gait- she knows no one is here, for no one ever is. Her head hangs near to the ground, while the wind twirls her long silver tail 'round her muscled black legs. Why was life so cruel to her? It, though, was her own fault- she had no one to blame but herself. At this, she sighs, halting in a far corner of the TT, lest someone might enter unexpectedly. She turns her rump towards the only enterance for good measure, for she was afraid she might break down. No one could see her so weak, so emotional. It was not her nature- it couldn't be. It never had been before... Still, her throat feels strangled and her body feels heavy. She would rest but a minute...just long enough for it all to go away. It surely could not last, right?" on 16:21:30 04/17/02 Wed

Time also, as it is prone to do, enveloping her, began to sponge up and muffle her pain until it was bearable. This she would be able to hide. She takes a deep, shuddering sigh, slowly raising her head. No, it was not fixed- she wasn't certain it could. She grows angry, though, at herself- she had allowed herself to get into this position in the first place. She had been the one to first allow the seeps of emotion to enter and soothe her frame. How was she to know it would end like this, before it ever began? She takes another deep breath- life would go on as it always does. Moping about it, she had learned long ago, did absolutely no good. Pain may never go away, but could be put out of mind. And this she did- she did not think about the pain, nor about the situation. This part was dulled, ready to be painfully reawakened, but none could tell but herself. She was quite good at putting on a facade- after all, she had led him to believe that, after all this time, she felt nothing for him. Oh, if she had only known... But she had not- she could not change it. With that, she pivots, walking slowly from her haven (in its solitude) back towards home.
