Subject: In great need of "older" Doxie

Hi!
I'm in desperate need of an "older" Dachshund. My dear friend's "15" year old "Doxie" past away from a stroke just before Christmas. She absolutely adored her "Nicky". She gave him all of her love , attention and the best care possible. He was her "baby".

My friend is 79, and has raised "doxies" for the past 49 years. Since Nicky's death she has been heartbroken and lonely. She lost her husband last October, and Nicky became her constant companion and best friend.

She is extremely eager to take a new "Doxie" into her home to love and spoil! I have contacted every rescue society that I am aware of, but I've had no luck as of the moment.

Although, she's 79 going on 50 (excellent health, plenty of energy!). I just don't think that a puppy would be right for her...whew....if it could only be that easy! I really need a spunky senior to go to a wonderful spunky senior.

ANY help would be greatly appreciated, as I dearly love my friend and would love to see her happy again.

Thank you and please wish me luck!

Trish P
