Abandoned to a castle, near the northern reaches of the world, he never has known his parents. He has never known his birth place. He grew in the castle learning sword play from his adopted father, Sir Dracon. But one day when he was 12, an awful thing happened. He accidentally made a stable fire. Most unfortunate of all was that someone saw him do it, they saw him do it with magic. The Lord of the castle quickly threw him out, banishing him forever more. Even his adopted father turned his back on him. He was forced to wander aimlessly through the dense woods surrounding the territory. Locke had to kill his food, live in caves and holes, and trust no one. He spent five years traveling round in the forest, until he came upon a village. He was about to turn back, until he saw that they did not fear magic, but embraced it. There were magic lights, and magic tools, even the road leading to it was somewhat magical. So, he decided to enter. When he got there he saw that the people didn't all have magic, but mainly one man who lead the town, a wizard named Gradahl, did. After hearing how he had a natural talent for magic, he quickly took him in, and put him to work as an apprentice mage. Locke worked hard, and picked up every spell he could, enjoying the fact he was finally accepted again. He lived four, happy years there. But it could never last. On what he considered his birthday, there was a party for him. Food, dancing, and magic shows. Then the dragon came. He stated that the humans had lived there too long, and he had awoken from his 400 year sleep dismayed. He then told them he will kill them all for being on his land. The entire town went into a panic as the lesser mages attacked the dragon. The Dragon quickly took most of them out, burning their bodies to a crisp. Feeling compelled to do so, he charged the dragon. He hated the dragon for taking his happiness away, and now he wanted to exact revenge. For this monster had turned his happy birthday, into a day of mourning at the best. He quickly hit the dragon with all the spells he could, until ultimately the dragon knocked him aside in one swipe. He laid there in anguish, ruling the day this dragon was conceived. Finally the Head Mage stepped up. He quickly got into a fierce battle with the dragon, and both were getting tired and weary. Then the dragon finished it with one blow to the wizard's temple.
Quickly, Locke jumped at the dragon and stabbed his sword into the dragon's head as he looked toward the fallen wizard. With the dragon slain, some healers not involved in the fight, got to work on the Head Mage. He was only bed ridden for a while they said. When he told the wizard his brave story of how he had defeated the dragon, the old mage stared steadily at him. The mage said that he was very disappointed. And that Locke had committed a crime. He should have never used the weapon, for it was against a mage's honor to use weapons. Locke apologized and promised never to do it again, but the wizard told him he must leave at once. He walked out of the town slowly, as the sadness filled him. Quickly this sadness formed into anger and hatred. They couldn't do this to him! Not again! In an angry rage he clenched his fist trying to think of how to get back at them. Little did he know, that by his mere thought, the town was crumbling down, and burning all away. He traveled around after that, killing this, skinning that. He joined war after war, only to satisfy his need to kill. He was in his own enjoyable war zone, and he could kill anyone. But then, he met a woman. So captivated by her brilliance, he quickly agreed that violence was wrong. She made him cast away his darkness. Never did he realize that, this also, couldn't last. She was gone soon. He never saw her again. He was now filled with light, and he used the chivalric values instilled in him as a squire to live a honorable life. He uses both magical and physical means in fighting. Combining both to be a sort of Battlemage. He now travels the world, finding ancient cities, new cities, other races, and ways to cope with life.

Locke is 6'5" and 234 pounds. Often, he wears a red cape or cloak, always with chest armor (usually chain mail), and a pair of leather pants. He has shoulder length Brown hair and deep, wise hazel eyes. He always carries with him his short sword, given to him by his adopted father, Sir Dracon, as a boy. The sword was later enchanted to be able to burst into flames whenever he so desired. Also at is side is a trusty herb pouch, which he uses in combination with his magical skills to heal and cure many ailments. He sometimes creates the illusion of being other things, but not usually.
