I suspect there are a quite few more of these. All the XFiles stories which were beyond the original Mulder and his quest theme were so complex and had so many things going on that I always wondered why they were in the episode. Little things like the television shows we saw bits and pieces of, where they idea for the story came from, the characters names, the side comments, and props they used whether or not they were in the background or actually manipulated by the actors, etc. have always roused my curiosity. It was obvious to me that there was a reason for many of these things but I have no clue what the relationship was. A few of the smaller, obvious ones yes but for the most part I am rather clueless as to the origin or reason.
