It involved some kind of flesh eating virus and a little boy. After I listened to it I planned on buying another of the books, but never got around to it. If "Ruins" is your favorite, perhaps I'll try it next.

Since, like you said before, people write fanfic that takes place in XF past, there is no reason why the novels couldn't take place there also. They could just give it a time, date, and place stamp like in the shows and the fans would know what was going on!
