If Capt Scully was at sea just prior to proposing, it would make conception rather difficult. I believe the crisis was not a short time duty. The Navy was at sea for more than a few months. I would hate to think that Bill was from an immaculate conception. Thats if Bill was the oldest, and I am in that camp. I am sure the order is Bill, Melissa, Dana, and Charlie.

I think the birthdates and Momma Scully's tearful story of him proposing when he marched off the ship after the Cuban missle crisis was an oversight. Caught by a bunch of detail driven obsessed fans. I honestly doubt it was ever considered by the writers or producers.

Consistancy is NOT a top priority at 1013. We should know that by now.
