That's funny that Dave Barry mentions this. I don't know exactly what he's talking about, but here in MD we've had trouble with some Chinese Snakehead Fish, and the local newspapers have given them two names "Frankenfish" and "X-Files Fish". Some guy bought these fish in Hong Kong as pets, then decided he didn't want them and dumped them into a pond in Crofton, MD. The thing about these fish is they can walk around on land and live out of water for up to two days, and they eat anything. It is a huge concern because the pond they are in is very close to a waterway that leads to the Chesapeake Bay, and it would be disasterous if these fish got there. Starting yesterday they began poisoning the pond where the fish are, so it seems the crisis has been averted.

There's nothing quite like seeing a headline in the paper that has the word "X-Files" in it. We definetely need Mulder out here to investigate!
