Subject: Aww...I love Bruce Harwood

Awhile back someone at another website I visit posted a message stating that a friend of hers is friends with Bruce Harwood (or a friend of a friend, I can't really recall). Anyhow, this friend recently saw Bruce Harwood and his wife (Sharon?) and Bruce conveyed that it's been hard for him to get work the past year and the movie business in Vancouver is pretty slow lately. A few days after I read that post I attended a chat with Bruce Harwood and Tom Braidwood. When asked what they were doing now, Tom had a few projects, but Bruce said he's taking some time off and that he hasn't found any good work lately. His tone was a little down, although what can you tell from a chat, right? Anyway, as a combination of these two events, I decided to drop Bruce Harwood a little letter. I'm really not the fan mail type of person. I think the last time I wrote a letter to someone famous was when I was eight and it was to Cal Ripken. Anyway, in the letter I thanked Bruce for his work on TXF and TLG and told him I looked forward to seeing him in the future. I mailed off the letter and promptly forgot about it.

So, imagine my surprise when I got home from the gym this evening to find a letter waiting for me from Bruce Harwood! In the letter he thanked me for my kind words and support. He stated that work has been quiet for him this past year and for many actors whom he knows, but he's optimistic about the future. He also included a picture, which I'm sharing with y'all:

The resolution isn't great (cause my scanner sucks), but you can see in the top left corner where he addressed it to me, and the bottom right corner where he signed it. Also, in the middle on his shirt he wrote in all capitals: TRUST NO ONE. It's in blue sharpie on a black shirt, though, so it's impossible to see on the scan.

Isn't he great?
