Has anyone seen the latest issue of "The X-Files Magazine"? It's currently out on newstands. What I find interesting is that it has DD on the cover, despite the fact that he will have little or nothing to do with XF next season! I think the magazine editors realize, (as CC and the Fox execs apparently do not) that for the vast majority of X-Philes, the show was "about" Mulder and Scully and that any other characters just don't have the same appeal.
The magazine also mentioned that another one of those XF season guides is out; this one is called "all things" and covers season seven. I couldn't find it in the bookstore, though. Has anybody seen it?
Speaking of XF books, does anybody know if there are plans for future XF novels (like "Ruins", "Whirlwind", etc.)? I really enjoyed these, but the last one came out about two years ago and I don't know if there will be any more. I don't see why not. Lots of science fiction TV series (i.e. "Star Trek", "Highlander", etc.) have book tie-ins. Maybe the enormous amount of XF fanfiction available for free on the internet hurts the sales of "official" novelizations?
