It touches us all. Even here in North Central Texas, as you have probably heard about the guys arrested here...

I and mine are fine here, physically, anyway. My mom has a distant first cousin that she thought worked at the Pentagon, but it turned out he worked in another building, so is unharmed. However, his married daughter and her husband live in New York, and the husband worked in a building across from the first building struck by a plane. His building was evacuated immediately and as he stood in line at a pay phone to call his wife to let her know he was ok, he witnessed the second plane crash. Then he witnessed the first tower begin to collapse, turned and ran for his life. Didn't stop until he was clear of the area. His wife didn't work in the area. I cannot even imagine the terror.

At work yesterday the guys put a flag up on the office building. I, too, have one mounted on my porch. And I have candles burning, too.

Have ya'll visited this international show of compassion and support web site?

On another website I post at the opening page banner has been replaced with this impressive poster:

http://pub34.ezboard.com/bsomethingxtra

The Endies board is shut down. I know lots of people there were from NY, or that area. I hope they are ok!

I'm so proud of all the people outside of America who are so touched and offer so much help with our National disaster. I'm proud to call all of you friends.

Chantal
