On the soap I sometimes watch the couple who were having a baby (played by Regis cohost Kelly Ripa and her real life husband) and the storyline went that they could not decide on a name. There was a fake contest on the show and also a real contest on the internet where viewers got to choose the name.

I think they used current Dodgers. I remember a couple of the names of patients being player's names.
