was "Head of the Class", an 80s sitcom. (Like "Welcome Back, Kotter", it was also set in a high school.) They had one teacher for most of the series run, but had a different teacher for the very last season. But when anybody talks about the show, all they seem to remember is the first three or four seasons with the original teacher.
Like you, Ed, I am not pleased with the path CC (and the Fox execs) are leading us. Having an eighth season seems so unfair to so many people. Most especially to us loyal X-Philes who were told, up 'til April of last year, that we were watching the "final season" of X-Files as a TV show and that the concept of would continue on in movies. Adding Robert Patrick to the cast seems unfair to Mitch Pileggi - if they felt the series needed a third lead, why not expand his role rather than bring in a totally new guy? The one who will probably actually suffer the most from this lamebrained decision will be Robert Patrick himself. He'll probably get labelled, unfairly, as the actor who "killed" XF.
