Actually the tortoise could have been at Fleays nature reserve on the Gold Coast. When I was about 6 I too rode on a tortoise there. It could have been that exact one. wow! I think I remember it being on the news now and I made a comment about it. We used to take our grown up orphaned wallabies and possums to Mr Fleay, god rest his soul. He was the first person to breed platypuses in captivity. And a very nice man.

Sharks remind me of the daleks on Dr Who. Ruthless killing machines devoid of conscience. I have never sat down and watched an entire JAWS movie. Never interested me. WE used to do the scene where the woman gets tugged under though. We would swim out in the river and see who could do the most realistic impression. I think that was our little bit of extreme sport. lol

A metre is a bit longer than a yard. 3 metres is about 10 feet. So 4m is just over 13 feet. They changed to metric when I was in 5th class. I use imperial measurements for some things as I had already learnt it at school. My younger sister only knows metric.
