I wanted to just stay in that office forever. I wanted to scrutinize all the things on his desk and on the walls and in the cupboards. But time was of the essence and my 2 yr old was hnagin off my leg bellowing while I tried to video and photograph and suck up all the ambience of the place. I wanted to go back just before we left but we didn't. The kids were cranky and had had enough but still.... my visit to the bowels of the FBI was just great. [There was X File music wafting throughout the entire complex during the day too which was good.]
Actually whilst on the set tour we were looking at something else and I heard the music close by and I turned around and there was the office in the distance. I let out a squwark and raced into the room . Two women were in there and gave me an odd look. After they had gone, I stood under the sky light and looked up and said " Mulder, its such a gorgeous day outside." I wanted to go back later with my icecream and get my daughter to video my hubby grabbing it off me and chomping on it but they didn't allow food into that area. Oh well. I was in my glory anyway. And later with all the movie stuff.....they also had the vial of vaccine for Scully with the note and syringe. Somewhere else they had the sketches of the spaceship and the cryopod that Scully went to antarctica in. The good thing was that apart from a few bus loads of asian tourists, the whole place was deserted so on the set tour there was only us. I had the whole office to myself for a good 20 minutes. It was a bit surreal actually but a really great thing for an X phile. Especially one such as me who often feels so far away from the action reading all about other people's XF experiences....now I got one of my own. :-D

I also survived the Titanic sinking but my hubby and daughter went down with the ship. My little 2 yr old ripped off her nappy and tried to use the scungey toilet on the NYPD Blue locker room set. We had to try and explain to her that it was only a pretend toilet and didn't really work. And it was so disgusting as well.

Yeah, for a TV nut like me it was a great place to visit. The only bad thing was that they had two TV shops......one of them had all sorts of paraphanalia in it from all Fox's movies and shows and the other was dedicated entirely to the Simpsons. Now, if that Simpson shop had been an X File shop then I really would have been in X Phile heaven. :-D

Stardoe, finally home from her pilgrimmage to Sydney to worship the office of Fox Mulder.
