Hi bwreck, Chantal, CW and any other RTMers!

I really enjoyed this movie. It was so sweet and funny.
I've been a Bonnie Hunt fan for years so I was sure I'd
enjoy her humor and I've been liking the clips I've seen
from it.

One thing I was worried about was Minnie Driver who I
wasn't crazy about but I was warming up to her from the
clips and interviews I'd seen promoting this movie. Afte
seeing the movie I have to admit I really liked her in
this. And the old timers were great. I loved all the
scenes with the old guys and Sophie. And that scene with
the obnoxious "water lady" at the restaurant was very.
funny And Mel the dog. What a sweet doggie!

Ok now for David. :-) I thought he did a really good job
and the best thing was that he was very different from
Mulder and yet I loved Bob so much. Who wouldn't fall in
love with that guy?! I say best thing because I think
this will be good for us fans when we have to let Mulder
go :-( at least for a while, because now I know I can get
attached to DD in another role. I have seen DD in other
things he's done in the past and I've never liked the
roles he's played very much, or at least
haven't felt anything for the characters probably because
he usually played someone kind of strange and sometimes
unlikeable. I think he found a great niche with romantic
comedy. I hope he does more. He was so adorable in this!

Funny, but I didn't really cry! I knew about the big sob
scene near the beginning of the movie but maybe I just
didn't get to know the characters enough yet. I thought
DD did good on crying though. I know sometimes his
Mulder cries have been criticized. This was one of his
best ones! I did tear up at one point later on in the
movie except now I forget which part. My mother, who went
with me, was pretty much sobbing through most of the
movie! I don't know, sometimes I'm just in a crying mood
and can cry very easily at the dumbest things and other
times I can't. Nothing against this movie at all. Perhaps
I was still ticked off because of the "popcorn incident"
I had with the employee at the snack bar before the
movie. I used to work at a movie theater and this guy was
trying to pull a fast one so I caused a bt of a scene. he
hee It worked! ;-)

But I just loved Bob! What a guy! I heard DD on a local
Los Angeles radio interview here a couple weeks ago and
the DJs who had seen the movie were really praising him
and saying how he wasn't at all like his XF chracter and
he was really flattered to hear that. I wish there was a
way I could tell him that too.

Well, I'd love to hear more of what everyone else
thought.

det :-)

"This is Bob. His wife is dead."
--Carrol O'Conner's character introducing Bob to his
buddies.
