Hi cvl!

I haven't talked to you for awhile. How are you?

You know I had a very odd reaction to this ep. So odd that I never really posted anything about it after it aired. I wasn't quite sure what I thought of it and it also kind of disturbed me. I was disappointed in the first half. I thought it could have been better executed. I don't know. It just didn't seem to work.

I haven't seen it in awhile so I'm kind of fuzzy on it but I think they tried to put too much in on ep. They could have mae a separate X-file out of the story with the priest. And they should have done an ep dealing entirely with Donnie. But combining both was too much. And the scary thing about Donnie was that he was a real. monster. Meaning he was someone that could really exist. So I wished they hadn't "supernaturalized" him this time around.

However I thought the last act was some of the most gripping televsion I've seen on XF in quite awhile. I also was pretty shocked by it. I wasn't quite sure how to feel about Scully just killing Pfaster like that. I know all the arguments about how she was under great stress and it was so traumatic that she was kind of beyond rational thinking. But still, it seemed so unlike Scully.
I thought it was fine for Mulder to just come in her bedroom like that! (Note: Little Spoiler...you'll find that they get more comfortable around each other as time goes on). But it was also very interesting and made perfet sense that he too was surprised and bothered bvy Scully's actions. I guess he will cover for her and the too of them will be the only ones who know what really happened.

One thing that was particulary annoying was Mulder not chcking his messages when he got home. Since when does he not check his machine!? Argh!
