Subject: You still get Skippy?
In reply to: detoured 's message, "I think DD's is more like 400,000" on 22:36:00 05/20/00 Sat

God I'd love it if they put it on again here. I want my kids to see it. Everytime we would go into the bush we would play Sonny and Skippy. I used to make my sister be Skippy and she would have to hop around everywhere. he he he. That's why being the oldest is so good. :-)Now they only ever put on that New Adventures of Skippy rubbish. Skippy doesn't even do anything. At least she did lots of clever stuff in the old show. I have been to Waratah National Headquarters. Inside is set up just like in the show. Even the old radio. It was so nostalgic for me.

I must say we do have many more home grown shows on here now. Once it was nearly all entirely American and the odd British comedy on the ABC. Now we can virutally watch Aussie TV nearly every night of the week. Last year XF was the only American TV show I watched. We have two really good dramas called Water Rats and Blue Heelers. Cop shows. And a comedy drama called Sea Change. There is a medical show called All Saints that I don't really like at all but lots do like it. The rest is mainly Lifestyle type stuff. And of course our drippy soap operas that the Brits love to death. I think its just because on the soaps they get to see sun every day. hee hee.

Yes Toni Collette is an Aussi. She was in "Muriel's Wedding." You probably can't get that movie over there. I haven't seen '6th Sense.' I'll have to get the video.

Well at least you have Steve.

I too think the salaries are too huge for actors. What do they do with all that money? A few weeks work and they needn't work again. Or maybe they waste it. Probably buy clothes worth $3,000 a piece.
