Subject: Hey cvl [spoilers for Closure]

Hi,
I guess I should really watch Closure again before commenting but I don't have time. It was great. I loved it. Sometimes I even felt like I wanted to cry. Very odd for me with XF. That starlight music was very effective. Although I had heard that Samantha was dead I really didn't believe it. Right at the end when Mulder saw her I thought it is true about the starlight etc. When Mulder told the man that Sam and his boy were dead I got a shock. I really thought the starlight children weren't dead and that they were in a better place. I wasn't prepared to believe that although yes they were in a better place they were in fact really dead as well. So both stories were true in this ep. The fact that they were dead and the starlight story. All the way through I kept wondering which was true and like Mulder, I kept switching from theory to theory. I was surprised to find that both were true.

Scully and Mulder were a bit odd with eachother in this ep I thought. It was like he didn't think she was helping him and didn't seem to try and persuade her to follow his beliefs. She was very much against the outthere theory all the way. She didn't even bother to just go along and see what happened. She also didn't tell Mulder that Cancer man came to see her but rather she let him think that she went to CSM. I guess that isn't important. I suppose she was helping Mulder in the best way she knew how. She wanted to help him so much that her natural scientific factual ways returned with a vengance. And Mulder's outthere ways over took him in his ernestness to find closure.

This two parter was the best I've seen maybe ever or at least for a long time. I can't wait to get my hands on the video. I guess one of the reasons I liked it so much was because it was totally believable the whole way through. Outthere, but believable. Both stories being true made it so, I think. We are open to interpret it all in whatever way we want. XF has lost some believability in recent years and I was glad that I didn't have to suspend belief in order to accept this episode.

Preview for next week. Alot of people flamed X Cops. I have been told it isn't much good. but going on the trailer for next week it looks down right hillarious. To see Scully slinking away behind the car door is just so Gillian. I saw her on an XF doco once and she was meeting a fan on the set. She had her arms folded and was very shy-like. [Early days I guess]She was kind of trying to stay in the background and this scene of Scully made me see Gillian. This does not usually happen for me. The only other time I see Gillian is when Scully smiles with teeth and laughs. But I must say i am used to Scully doing this now so I am beginning to see only Scully when she does this. :-)

Can't wait for X Cops. Should be a good laugh.
