I watched the rerun of Requiem when it aired as well. I hadn't seen it in awhile, but after it first aired I think I must have watched it six times. But then, I generally do that with any Krycek episode.

Wasn't Krycek looking hot, Dev? Not that he ever looks bad, but he's always such a sight for sore eyes. Before this episode aired I heard that we got to see a Krycek shower scene, and it put me in a very good mood. Unfortunately we didn't get much :( That's ok, I know how to use my imagination ;) And when Marita retrieves him from the prison he was all sweaty and sexy. I like sweat.

Of course, there was more to this episode than Krycek looking sexy. I liked the entire thing. The parallels from the pilot were fun, and personally I was happy to see the alien bounty hunter again. Though I could have done without Theresa Nimmen Hosey. Her voice was a little painful.

I think my favorite scene in the episode was when Skinner tried to tell Scully about Mulder. Wait, I had two favorite scenes. I'll get to the other one in a second. But I loved seeing Skinner so emotional. It seems the only real emotion they've given Skinner over the years has been anger. He's really good at being angry. Seeing him so upset showed just how much Mulder and Scully mean to him. I know he's been an undeniable ally to them for awhile now, but that scene proved to me that he's finally willing to go all the way to back them up.

My other favorite scene had to be Smoking Man's death. At first I thought there was no way he was actually dead. Then I changed my mind. He was dying anyway. And his chapter of mythology was over. I thought he was most definitely dead. This was something of his last hurrah for him. Then....why did Krycek kill him anyway? For revenge? Perhaps a bit. But I think it's because Krycek knows MUCH more than he's letting on, and by CSM trying to revive the conspiracy he was just getting in the way. That scene also got me thinking because of what CSM said to Krycek before he got the shove down the steps "Whatever you do to me and Mulder, you do to all mankind." Hmm...what does that mean? It led me to believe that Krycek knew Mulder would be abducted when he told him how to find the spaceship. It also came back to haunt me with something Krycek said in S8. And of course, another thing that made this scene so great was the fact that it was classic Krycek. Throw an old, helpless, dying man down a flight of steps, and step over him without any hesistation. Yay Krycek! I can't believe I cheer when someone dies....but Krycek has that affect on me. I know after it happened I sat with my hand over my mouth for about five minutes.
