I have a theory about Mulder being infected with the black oil vs. Krycek being infected with the black oil. I don't actually think Krycek was infected, he was more of a transport. The black oil in him jumped from person to person starting with the French submarine guy. The oil was just taking a ride on Krycek back to it's spaceship. After the oil left the French sailor he was just fine, no recovery time needed like Mulder did even though he was injected with the vaccine first. Plus, the oil never actually left Mulder; for all we know the 'vaccine' just made it dormant. Krycek, on the other hand, puked every drop of oil out of his face. There wasn't any oil left to be 'activated' by the rubbing of the spaceship artifact thingie.

I don't think I'll ever buy it, but it would be a crazy turn of events if Krycek did end up to be an alien trying to liberate his race. Should that be the case, the most important question would be: Where is Krycek's home planet and what do I have to do to get sent there where I can be surrounded by Krycek's everywhere I look?
