Subject: Early Eps: Rush, Millenium and Goldberg Variation

Hi all!

Just saw all these eps and I must say only one of them left a lasting impression and that is Golberg Variation.

Rush was ok. Another "weird teens" x-file. Nothing memorable or original there. I guess if I was a teenager and still in high school I would have found this ep neat. What teen has never secretely wished to kill a teacher and get away with it. ;o)

Like I said, not a very memorable ep.

Millenium was much better. Frank Black was back and even sweet little Jordan. I liked Millenium, the series, in its first season and some of the second but then after that, even though Frank Black is one of my fave TV characters, I just lost interest somehow. It was great to see him interacting with M&S. I thought they all had a great rapport and that FB should be made a part of the XF as a recurrent character. He could be sort of like a protective father figure to both Mulder and Scully. Someone to watch over them and help them out from time to time. *sigh* I guess it's all wishful thinking as I haven't heard any rumours at all on this subject.

As I didn't watch the last 2 seasons of Millenium I don't really have any thoughts on how the series was wrapped up in this ep. The story was good, kinda creepy. Really liked the scene with Mulder in his little salt circle and all those zombies around him in the basement. *shudder*

As a noromo, the kiss left me wishing I was a shipper. It was much cuter and moving than when I downloaded it a few months ago. I suppose it's the first step into something that's slowly going to build as the season develops. It didn't bother my noromoness too much, as something like this can happen between two friends of the opposite sex, who've known each other for a while and have been through a lot together. It was New Years Eve after all, it's the thing to do, right?

Now the Golberg Variation was really cool! I really liked this ep for some reason. The idea of being so lucky and still not being completely happy with your life. But then I suppose watching others suffer every time something good happens to you would depress anybody.

I liked the actor who plays the lucky guy. Where have I seen him before? He looked so familiar. The plumbing scene was hilarious! Poor Mulder! I also loved all the references to the "RoadRunner" cartoon and Wylie Coyote. All that cause and effect stuff. It was the first ep in long time that really held my interest and kept me entertained all the way through. Kinda reminded me of Small Potatoes, same kind of geeky character and same kind of humour.

My only complaint was the glass eye. I mean, really! Do these things move around so naturally once you put them in? I don't think so!

That's it for now.

C YA!
