I liked her episode and I thought she added some new demensions to her character and definately to Mulder and Scully's relationship. She may have overdone it a tad with the slowmo and other camera techniques but I put that down to this being her first attempt and I'm sure she'll improve when she learns more. But I liked some of the imagery she put in. Most importantly I'd like to point out that this episode was WAY better than quite a number of XF eps written by the regulars. Certainly better than things like Agua Mala and Alpha! So coming from someone who was not specifically hired to write for the series, she really makes some of those writers look bad!

The main thing that bpthered me was that I felt too much like I was watching all of GA's own influences. I know she's into all the new age stuff presented in the episode that Scully isn't and I felt GA's presence a little to strongly.

I thought the hands over Daniel's body trying to heal him was similar to Melissa doing that to Scully in One Breath reath. Wy didn't Scully mention the fact that she was now opening up to ideas her sister embraced? Maybe it showed how much she misses her to see her taking a big leap in that direction.

But I thought it was a very good first effort and I'd like to see more writing from GA!

And we actually had Mulder and Scully having a loooong conversation together! We didn't see it all but it was implied that Scully told Mulder all about what had been going on. The so-called "real" writers don't give us that!
