How great was Theef? And how funny that the same line Mulder used to mock Scully at the beginning of the episode is the same one that reveals Mulder is learning more about Scully even after all these years.

I'm thinking this is the best episode I've seen the entire season. Sure it didn't have the emotion factor of Closure or the end of Amor Fati, but it had what made X-Files classic. It had the paranormal, it had the fear factor, it had just enough Mulder/Scully dialogue to make it kind of fun. I can't wait to watch it again :-)

First, the fear. I don't know about you guys but nothing freaks me out more than the idea of someone in my house and I don't know about it (especially since there is currently a serial killer loose in Baltimore that the police and the feds just can't seem to catch). The first scene with the Appalacian guy behind the father in law, and then the shot of him holding the picture as the wife walked down the steps, oh my goodness, it was enough to make me check and make sure my front door was locked!

And what's this? Mulder and Scully agree on something? Scully agree that it might be magic? At first I was like, "What? That doesn't make sense" Then the more I thought about it the more it kind of did make sense. This isn't vampires or bigfoot, it's (well I don't exactly understand it) having to do with spirits and evil and what not, and as we know Scully believes in evil. I liked that Scully, though she didn't embrace the magic theory as overtly as Mulder, the fact that she didn't fight him every step of the way made the show quite enjoyable.

The only real problem I had with this episode was the fact that Scully actually did hardly anything until the end of the episode. But it was redeemed by Scully's cool "blind eyes."

I can't really think of anything else that I loved about this episode, but you name it, I probably loved it.
