I'm not a shipper, Chantal! What I was saying was that I thought the line was written so that it could be taken as romantic. I'm repeating myself here, sorry, but "you keep me guessing" can mean "I'm constantly thrilled by the new dimensions of yourself you keep revealing to me. I always feel like there's more of you to discover and I want to stick around to see it all" which is really sexy, to me. I think *that's* what the writers were shooting for when they had Mulder say that line as Scully walked away. I don't think, however, that they acheived that affect. I completely agree that, the way it was delivered, it sounded like Mulder was saying "Huh. So you got something out of this case after all." He was expressing surprise that Scully was able to find value and a new perspective in an X-file case, that it wasn't just the McCase routine, that it actually meant something to her. Why the hell should he be surprised that Scully gets something out of her work? Oh, okay. Actually it fits. With the way she was acting in this ep, it's easy to assume that Scully doesn't give a rat's ass about their cases and that she just wants to do her job and get out of there.
