the way CC has left this just hanging in the air. I thought it was a really sloppy way of taking care of a detail that has been central to this show from the start. Watching Paper Clip again last night, Mulder again asked his dad if his sister was there and his dad said no she wasn't. Since his dad was dead and with the spiritual "elders" I assumed he knew what he was talking about. Of course Mulder had a fever and maybe his wishful thinking was kicking in here. All I know is that there have been too many alien beings who have said that she was alive--unless they had her ova and that was what they meant. (That's too wierd)

The Walk-in that looked like Jeffrey Spender could have been him but I don't think so because he was dressed in a military uniform like CSM would have worn while in the service. Then I wondered if it was CSM just prior to being recruited to do his current job but since CSM had red blood when he was shot--not the green goo--it couldn't have been him. I just thought it was too coincidental that the camera panned in on him twice and paused with him in the background. The body thing didn't make sense. How can some of the ghosts have bodies that were left behind and others have bodies that were never found? Doesn't make any sense.

Maybe there is a time-warp of some sort here. I can't remember who I was reading but the author had said that if someone was looking at the world from a zillion miles away, they would be seeing dinosaurs because that is how long it takes light and the images it carries to travel this great distance. Some sort of mathematical thing here which I won't even try to figure out. The light that we see from the far-distant stars is also "old" light for this same reason. Is there another dimension that the aliens are from? That might explain how they can appear and disappear so quickly. That also could explain how the dead characters ghosts could reappear so quickly. I guess I'll just have to wait.

As for Mulder, I'm just glad he is at peace. I just think CC should have been a little neater with his ending for Samantha. Now of course, maybe he is trying to deceive us, but after XCops and the next episode, I am beginning to wonder how he is going to end the season and the series. I also had heard that Frank Black was going to be in a couple of episodes--he's only been in one so far. Will there be another Millenium tie-in?

So as someone said--can we believe anything out of CC's mouth?
